Hello GCS Grade 6 Family!

We have only 2 weeks left!  Thank you for working hard as families to ensure we finish the year well.

Grade 6 Optional Opportunity: Mr. Thompson’s Law class has been creating a mock-trial as part of their end-of-year law event.  He is looking for jurors who would be willing to observe the courtroom via Zoom!  If any Grade 6s are interested in participating in a mock-trial jury, please email Mr. Thompson at: nthompson@gcspei.ca

May 25-29

Monday:

Math: Lesson 136 – Order of Operations

LA – Non-fiction:  Reading and Vocabulary

Science-  Students will explore the importance of wearing helmets by engineering their own before conducting an egg-drop experiment.  Due Friday

French:  See Seesaw Activity

Physical Education- Remember to be participating in at least 20 minutes of physical activity every day. You’ll be logging this at the end of the week. If you haven’t submitted last week’s activity log, go back and do that today.

Tuesday:

Math: Lesson 137 – Algebraic Multiplication

LA – Non-fiction:  Comprehension and Summary

Social Studies: Old Home Week Research

Wednesday:

Math: Quiz

LA Non-fiction:  Infographics

Bible – Students will watch a short video called, God’s Story: Sermon on the Mount. Please find this assignment in the activity tab, along with instructions of how to respond.

Math: Lesson 138 – Solving Equations

LA – Grammar:  Conjunctions and Diagramming Conjunctions

Social Studies: Marketing Poster – Island Festival

Art: Look for an Art Activity with Mrs. Arthurs

Science: Science video due.

Physical Education: Activity logs are due today. Check your Seesaw Activities.
