ELEMENTARY

Open the doors to any elementary learning studio at Grace Christian School and you will discover students flourishing as they actively engage in inquiry work within a safe and nurturing learning environment built on mutual respect and acceptance.  You can expect to see students reading, questioning, analyzing, and creating products based on compelling questions and topics that promote the highest level of engagement and excitement for elementary-aged children.

ELEMENTARY BLOG

The integration of modern technologies and cooperative project-based learning opportunities encourage students to work collaboratively and apply knowledge from multiple disciplines to address real-world challenges. Students express their creativity and voice through art and music, and develop qualities through participation that will help them reach their potential as future leaders; this brings depth and meaning to the foundational teachings found within the elementary curriculum.

The elementary curriculum and classroom instruction at Grace Christian School is focused on maximizing individual student achievement, while striving to develop students who continue to mature spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially. Students benefit from highly qualified Kingdom educators and a Christian curriculum designed to meet or exceed all provincial and national academic benchmarks while fostering the innate sense of wonderment within every elementary-aged child.

Class sizes are small, allowing teachers to have more opportunity to work with each child one on one and develop deeper relationships.

Here at GCS our curriculum consists of the following:

While Grace Christian School is a school that strives for academic excellence, we also recognize the significant impact of providing opportunities for our students to serve and build relationships with others. Through participation in weekly chapel services, mentorship programs, and unique community service outreach projects, elementary students become compassionate leaders with a desire to serve others above themselves.

The Knights of Grace Christian School are known for many things-  they strive for personal excellence as they master learning, they build meaningful relationships through global service, and they seek out opportunities to serve others.

The harmonious culture within the elementary hallway is evident as teachers invest in the development of the whole child and fostered a real love for Jesus.  The joy of learning and genuine acceptance of one another is celebrated as elementary students join arms and nurture their sense of wonder and love of learning together.

IT’S WORTH YOUR INVESTMENT!

Every student will spend over 16,000 hours in school, and will be influenced by peers, teachers, and curriculum. It is never too early, or too late, to consider investing in your child’s future and giving them the advantage of growing as Jesus did, in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:52)
