The first days of the 2020-2021 school year are behind us, and the staff of GCS could not be more thankful for this opportunity to provide the quality of education we are known for to our students. What a blessing it has been to engage in learning activities together in person.

The final three months of the past school were unlike anything we had ever faced in education and in our own personal lives.  As partners in your child’s education, we quickly developed and implemented a plan to allow all GCS students to continue to reach their academic outcomes and complete the school year.  As a GCS community, we came together, supported one another, communicated effectively with one another, and developed new learning strategies that will benefit each of us in the future.

Throughout the summer months, school leadership have worked collaboratively with our provincial Chief Public Health Office to prepare for the safe return of all students.  The joy of being in community with one another again is evident in the hallways of GCS, even behind the masks that are reducing the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
