Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer of learning, growing, and having fun. I am so excited to get things started in our beautiful new space. Our Grade Two year will be filled with new activities, classes, and teachers to learn through. For those of you who are new to GCS, I am Ms. Chloe Jenkins. I will be the lead teacher in our Grade Two Learning Studio. I have loved teaching and learning alongside our GCS students in the Grade One and Two classroom and I look forward to having both new and returning students in our new single grade Learning Studio this year. I cannot wait to tell each of you about our beautiful new learning environment that God has truly blessed us with.
Our theme verse for the year will be Colossians 2:7 (NLT) which reads, 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. We will be memorizing this verse first, in Bible class, with Mrs. McGonnell.
Tomorrow morning, students should arrive at school by 8:45 AM ready to enter our new academic elementary wing. Classes will begin at 9:00 AM. Please come with your lunch and snack just as you would for any other school day.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
This Thursday evening, September 6th, A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place to celebrate the opening of the new GCS Phase One Expansion. The event will take place at 6:30pm at Grace Christian School. The event will begin with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony in the new atrium with tours of the new and updated facilities to follow. Throughout the evening there will be opportunities to give to the continued growth of GCS!
