‘Bout Halfway There – Week 19 at GCS

Good afternoon, parents!

It’s hard to believe, but second quarter is coming a close and we are nearing the half-way mark of the school year. With that being said, there is a lot coming up within the next few weeks! Be on the lookout for more information regarding Love of Reading Week, our celebration of the Olympics, Valentine’s Day, and a possible trip to The Mount.

Friday’s PD Day

We have a scheduled Professional Development Day this coming Friday, February 2. However, if school is cancelled throughout the week, this PD Day will be cancelled, and we will have regular classes on Friday to allow high school students time to complete their exams.

Skiing at Brookvale

Be on the lookout for a permission form for the upcoming skiing trip on Wednesday, February 7. It is important that if students need lessons, they let me know as soon as possible as we must email the number of students taking lessons to Brookvale. If your child hasn’t skied before, he or she will need the lesson. Believe me when I say that you wouldn’t want this amateur teaching them how to navigate the slopes!
