Hello GCS Grade 6 Family!
After a couple weeks of days off, we’re entering a full 5 day week this week! Thank you to all the families and Grade 6 students for your continued work with students on their coursework.
Wednesday April 22nd is Jersey Day! Wear a jersey in honour of your favourite sports team that isn’t able to play right now. Send a picture of yourself to admin@gcspei.ca for a chance to be featured on social media!

April 20-24
Monday:
Math – Lesson 116 – Using Radius to Find Circumference
LA – Predication Adjectives
Science- This week I am challenging all elementary students to collect items from around your home to create your very own “chain reaction machines” or “marble runs”. Do you have a sibling in another class? Why not make one project together! Check out Seesaw for more information.
French- “C’est and Ce sont” Complete page 49 and post. Post a video of you reading the top of page 49 and your answers to questions 1-5.
Tuesday:
Math – Lesson 117 – Review of the Circle
LA – Prepositional Phrases as Adjectives
Social Studies- Heritage Site on PEI
Wednesday:
Math – Quiz
LA – Adjectives Graded Assignment
Bible – Students will watch a short video called, God’s Story: Prayer. Please find this assignment in the activity tab, along with instructions of how to respond.
French – Page 50 Watch and listen carefully to the activity video on SeaSaw. Make a video of yourself reading these same words. Complete and post page 50.
Thursday:
Math – Lesson 118 – Area of a Circle
LA – Introduction to Nonfiction Texts and Vocabulary Activity
Music – To be announced
Social Studies – Heritage Site on PEI
Friday:
Math – Quiz
LA – Nonfiction Texts: Reading Comprehension and Writing Activity
Art – Look for an Art Activity with Mrs. Arthurs
Science – Students are reminded to upload a short video of their marble run / chain reaction machine. Bonus: Can you describe the motion and forces used to make your creation work?
Physical Education- Fill out and submit your weekly activity log.
