We have so much to be grateful for in this life, but the reality is that sometimes we forget to pause and give thanks for all that God has done, and continues to do in our lives. One of the many blessings I thank God for is the opportunity to invest in the lives of your children.  It is my prayer that this Thanksgiving weekend you will take time to reflect on the many blessings God has showered on you.

No Class on Monday:

Just a reminder that Monday, Oct. 9th, is a Canadian holiday.  We will not have classes.  Classes will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 10th at 9:00 AM.

Field Trip – Friday, October 13th: 

Students in grades 3-6 will be travelling by bus to Orwell Corner Historic Village for our annual Fall Party and an educational field trip. There is a $6.00 fee per student.  Students will tour the site, see a demonstration by a blacksmith, make beeswax candles and go on a wagon ride. Please pack a lunch that does not require heating and a water bottle.  There is a small country store open where students can purchase candy if they wish, however each student will be responsible for keeping track of their own pocket change. Parents are welcome to help chaperone. Please let me know if you plan to join us.

Basketball Clinic: 

The Junior High Girls Basketball Team coaches are hosting two basketball clinics for any girls interested in playing on the Jr. Girls Basketball Team this year.  The details are as follows:

  • When: Friday, October 13 and Friday, October 20
  • Time: 4:15pm-7:00pm
  • Who: Girls in Grade 6-9
  • Where: GCS gymnasium
  • Cost: FREE
  • Bring: sneakers, basketball clothes (tshirt, shorts), water bottle
  • Extra: pizza will be provided
