Happy Thanksgiving! What a beautiful weekend we have had. I hope everyone has been able to take the time to relax in light of all God has blessed us with on P.E.I. I know I’ve been enjoying a lot of mashed potatoes and family time. I look forward to the remainder of the fall season ahead at GCS. Check out all the information down below, for all the events that our class will be apart of in the weeks to come.

International Potluck Supper

Save the date! On October 17 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, all Grace Christian School and Grace Baptist Church families are welcome to join us for our fall potluck supper. Families that attend should bring a dish to share that will feed 6 – 8 people. If your last name begins with A – L, we ask that you bring a dessert or salad to share. If your last name begins with M – Z, please bring a main dish to share. GCS will supply the drinks and fun! There will ice-breaker games and prizes for getting to know the most new friends.

Supplies

As milk orders are coming in we are noticing a need for straws. Our class would also benefit from having some plastic spoons on hand in the event of having a class party or a student coming in without any utensils. If anyone is able to supply either of these items that would be great.

Mandarin Classes for English Speakers:
Interested in learning the most widely spoken language in the world? Want to communicate with one out of every six people and many of your GCS friends? We are pleased to announce that GCS will be having after school Mandarin classes for elementary students from Grades 1-6! In each lesson participants will learn simple Chinese dialogue, acquire new vocabulary used in school and everyday life, and interact with native Mandarin speakers.
