With Islander Day approaching, I am hopeful you will take some time to enjoy an extra day with your family and friends and celebrate the blessing of living in such a beautiful part of our country.  There will be no class on Monday, February 19th.

Elementary Skate:

Students in Grades 1 – 6 will participate in their first elementary skate this Wednesday, Feb 20th from 1:30 – 2:30.  An official permission slip outlining all the details of our skating events will be sent home with your child on Tuesday. Please have your child return their signed permission slip and payment of $5 which will cover all three elementary skates throughout the coming weeks.

Students that wish to participate in skating must have their own skates and helmet.  Students are not obligated to participate, however those who do not wish to participate in our skating events must be picked up at school at 12:15.

Science Fair Updates:

Students are well on their way to completing their projects for the March 4th deadline.  Please encourage your child to complete their tests/experiments as soon as possible and to begin collecting their data to make an informed conclusion.  Students will be asked to complete a tri-fold backboard presentation of their Science Fair project.  These presentation boards can be purchased in the color of the students choice and can be found at Michaels, Wal-Mart, Staples, and The Dollarama.  I sincerely appreciate the parental support given for successful completion of this project.
