Dear Parents,

It’s been another busy and wonderful week. This week there are a lot of fun theme days and activities going on as we celebrate Christmas. Please see the list of theme days below. These are just optional fun days and are not meant to add to the financial pressure that this season can bring. There will be no homework or spelling test this week.

This week:

Monday: Festive Colours Day, bring one item in your lunch box that’s cut into fractions to show the class. We have been learning about dividing objects and groups into halves, thirds, and fourths. Anything from fruit, a sandwich, a granola bar, or anything  else that can be divided equally would be great.

Tuesday: Christmas Hat Day (diy’s welcome) and Show and Tell for Gr. 1

Wednesday: Christmas Sweater Day

Thursday: Christmas PJ Day, Gr. 1 will be reading and watching the traditional story of The Grinch.

Friday: Class Party (students are encouraged to bring in snacks to share), please not that this is a half day of school.

Thank you for all you have done and continue to do to keep our class healthy and help your child reach their potentially. I have many teachers comment on what a wonderful class our Grade 1 class is (and they are right!).

Wishing you and your families a very Merry Christmas and God’s blessing in the New Year!

Miss Kennedy
