Welcome back to school GCS Family,

As you prepare for the first day of classes, take a moment and reflect on what an incredible blessing it is to be part of a school community that partners with you to develop children who are spiritually, academically, emotionally, physically and socially mature for the glory of God.  As you drop off your children for school tomorrow morning at 8:45 AM, take a moment to reflect on the amazing display of God’s hand at work – a new academic wing, a renovated high school,  a new parking lot, and so much more has allowed us to grow our student body and provide innovative programs and services.

A Note About Your Teacher:

As I enter my 6th teaching year at GCS, I am excited to have the opportunity to learn alongside the students that God has placed in my care.  From this moment students enter my classroom, I will challenge them to go beyond what they once thought possible for themselves.  While my love for Jesus outshines all my passions and interests, it is fair to say I have a keen interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.  I consider it a great blessing to be the lead grade 6 teacher,  the director of elementary, and the science teacher for all elementary students.  Throughout the school year your children will have the opportunity to learn from multiple teachers.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony:

To celebrate the blessing of our new academic wing, we are hopeful you will all join us for our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 6th at 6:30pm. Please come and see what changes have taken place at GCS and consider the opportunities to give to the continuing growth of GCS.

Theme Verse:

This year GCS students will take an in-depth look at the importance of building our lives on the Lord. Our theme for for the year is Colossians 2:7: Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
