It’s Report Card Week

It’s Report Card Week

With second quarter about to begin, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for all you do to support your children.  I am beyond proud of my students this quarter.  Their report cards certainly reflect all the time and energy they have invested in their school work.

Please take note of a few announcements for the week ahead:

Shoeboxes

Please be reminded that Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are due to come in this Wednesday, November 15th. We will collect them all in chapel and then pray over them before they are sent to the Ukraine. What a wonderful way to show compassion and love as we head into the holiday season!

Report Cards and Sign-up for Parent-Teacher Conferences

Report cards will be going home on Thursday, November 16th. The communication form will need to be signed and both it and the envelope returned to me.  You can keep the actual report card for your own records.

For those of you who have not done so, please remember to sign up for Parent-Teacher Conferences happening this week on Thursday, November 16th, from 6:00-9:00 PM and on Friday, November 17th, from 10:00-12:00 AM. Sign-up sheets are in the church foyer where the students now enter. If you are unable to attend during those times, please feel free to email me and we can set up a time that works for you. I look forward to discussing your child’s progress with you!

Usborne Book Sale

Once again this year, Mrs. Biech will be hosting an Usborne Book Sale during parent-teacher interviews. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin some early Christmas shopping! For those unable to attend, you can always email Mrs. Biech with orders at mbiech.ubooks@gmail.com. The online catalog can be found at http://www.usbornebooksathome.ca/usborne_books/browse.asp. All proceeds go to the GCS library.

Christmas Concert News

The students have been very busy practicing for this year’s Christmas musical production which will be presented on Thursday, December 14th at both 1:30 PM and 6:00 PM.  Students are asked to dress in any of the following colors:  red, black, white, or silver and come dressed for the special occasion.  Please watch for a very important announcement outlining the specifics being sent home with your child this week from Mrs. Wilting.

Have a fantastic week.
