The week ahead is a busy one as we celebrate Science & Technology Week at GCS.  This is one of my favorite times of the year as the world of science, technology, engineering, and math continually remind me of how incredible God, our creator, truly is.  Throughout the week students will complete a variety of activities.  Here’s a few of the activities we have planned for the week:

Badminton Club

We are excited to begin badminton this upcoming Wednesday for the third season.  As in previous years, we will run a badminton camp until the early spring, once per week; in the spring, we will move to two days per week leading up to the PEISAA badminton championships in April.  Details are as follows:

  • Who: any students in grades 5-12
  • When: each Wednesday (check the athletic calendar on the school website for specifics)
  • Time: 3:30-5:00
  • Where: Immanuel Christian School gymnasium (68 Allen St, Charlottetown, PE)

Students are to bring gym shoes/sneakers, tshirt, gym pants or shorts, a water bottle, and a badminton racquet.  Athletes are not permitted to practice or compete in jeans or other non-gym pants/shorts, boots, dress shoes, socked feet, or bare feet.

Remember that students and parents are to sign the Athletic Code of Conduct (if not already signed for a previous sport) and pay the sport fee to Mrs. Laird ($20) if not already paid.
