This is it! We have reached the final week of this school year! I am truly thankful for the privilege of having been your child’s teacher this year. So many happy memories were created over the past 10 months and I am so proud of all the growth these young ones have experienced. God has great plans for each of them, I am certain!

As we approach this last week, please take note of the following announcements.

School Work

Students will be bringing home work that they have done throughout the year over the course of the next three days so that they are not overloaded with things on Wednesday!

Class Clean-Up and Party

Wednesday morning will be our classroom clean-up time. Following the clean-up, we will enjoy games and ice cream in class for our class party in the afternoon.

Year-End School Closing Event

The Grade 5 class has been working hard the past couple of weeks planning a year-end carnival for the elementary students at GCS. To help cover some of the costs involved with the event, we are asking each elementary student to bring in $2.00 before June 18th. This will go towards snacks, drinks, door prizes, and balloons. After gathering in the chapel for school closing remarks from Mrs. MacNeill, students will head outside to our back field for carnivals games and field games. Students can look forward to balloon games, ring toss, face painting, beanbag toss, various tag games, a candy jar count guessing game, and door prizes! If the weather is not suitable for outdoor activities, we have a modified plan to run indoors. The event will finish at 11:30am in time for parents to pick up their children at 11:45am. We are looking forward to an amazing day as we close out the 2020-2021 school year.
