Greetings! Only two weeks left till Christmas break! I hope everyone was able to watch our Christmas concert whether in person or online. It was truly a wonderful way to share the gospel through many fun songs. I’d also like to thank all of you for supporting our concert through helping rehearse lines or being an ear to listen to all of the lyrics in the songs your child learned. Take note below of all the important info regarding our last two weeks of school for 2018. Also if you have not seen the permission slip go home for our field trip tomorrow please email me before noon and note whether or not you are able to drive. We will be leaving the school at 12:40.

Christmas Concert Reminders:

This year grades 3-6 are very pleased to be presenting the musical  Straight Outta Bethlehem on Thursday, December 13th, with a matinee performance at 1:30 pm and an evening performance at 6:30 pm.  The focus of this musical is about how God adopts us into His family. Throughout the story the message is clear that no one is unwanted, no one is alone, and no one is an orphan, because God has bought us with the gift of his Son. This is a powerful message for children! God sent his Son as a baby straight outta Bethlehem to grow up, to redeem us and to die in our place. What a reason to celebrate!

If you cannot attend, the performance will be live-streamed on the GCS YouTube channel and uploaded within 24 hours.  Please tune in to:

Geneva Villa – Monday, December 10th

At GCS we encourage students to think beyond themselves to find ways to serve others during the Christmas season and throughout the year.  As part of our Christmas service project, Grades 1-2 will be traveling to Geneva Villa on Monday, December 10th.  Students will present songs from our Christmas program and visit with the residents to wish them a Merry Christmas.  We will be leaving the school at 12:40 pm to arrive in time for 1:00 pm.   We will arrive back at the school for 2:30 pm.  Drivers are needed for this event. If you are available to drive, please indicate on your permission slip how many students you can take in your vehicle.

Christmas Blessings & Bricks:

It is that time of year to bless others and donate to programs that are close to your heart. Our “Buy A Brick – Bricks of Honour” campaign is in full swing. What a wonderful way to bless the school and someone that you admire by buying a brick in their name and gifting it to GCS.  Bricks can be purchased for $250.  If you know someone who deserves to be honored in this way please see Mrs. MacNeill or contact Miss Arthurs at
