Wow!  What an amazing job our students did on Thursday night!  I am so proud of the hard work they put in over the last month or so to put on such a wonderful performance, sharing the true reason to celebrate this season – the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Even though it is the last week before Christmas break, our class is very busy.  Please check below to see what is happening each day.

Theme Days:

Monday: Festive Pajama Day- Live the excitement of Christmas morning by wearing your pajamas to school. Festive designs are great but all pajamas are welcome. Remember: modest, clean, neat and appropriate is always the expectation.

Tuesday: Christmas Sweater Day- Wear your ugly (or beautiful!) Christmas sweater. Choose one that is ready-made or use your imagination to create your own unique design.

Wednesday: Service Project Day!  We are heading back to Chesapeake to share in a time of carols, games, and lunch with the seniors there.  It is Christmas Colors Day, but we thought it might be fun to wear some pjs again and the seniors are invited to do the same.  Lunch will be provided for the students, but feel free to have a little something in case they need an extra bite to eat when we return to school.

Thursday: Christmas Hat Day- Wear a Santa hat, reindeer antlers, an elf hat or a Christmas-themed toque as we count down to Christmas.

Friday: Class Christmas Party

Class Party:

Friday is party day and I am excited to have some fun with the class.  I plan to make waffles for the students so instead of sending in treats for the party, feel free to send in a fun waffle topping to share (ex: fruit, chocolate chips, whipped cream).  I will provide the butter and syrup.  Students should be picked up at 12pm to start their Christmas break.

Tuesday – Math Quiz and students are sharing about their book reports

Important Dates

Dec. 18 – Service Project
Dec. 20 – Last day of school (half day only)
Jan. 6 – Back to School

I want to wish your child and family a very Merry Christmas and pray for a wonderful holiday break.
