Hi GCS families,

Wow! A two-day week! Thank you for your patience and understanding with the weather-related delays and cancellations. Coming up we have a full week scheduled, so hopefully we can get in lots of lessons and make-up for lost time. This week we will be learning about multiplication of fractions in Math, continuing our research on India in Social Studies, and sketching the Taj Mahal for a cross-curricular Social Studies and Art activity.

Heart Chart Challenge

Just a note that the Heart Chart Reading Challenge will end on March 10. Happy reading!

Bible Memory Verse

Students have been assigned the second part of the passage from Romans 12:9-18, to be recited as a whole on April 1. Students will need to practice the entire passage at home to do well on their Bible memory work.
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”
