Dear GCS Grade Four Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful March Break and I look forward to seeing the grade four students tomorrow.

We have lots to do this week! In Math, we will be learning about divisibility rules and how to cancel. In Social Studies, we will be finishing our unit on India with drawing the Taj Mahal and exploring it using Google Earth. In Digital Literacy, we will finally start preparing in groups for our upcoming debate, and in Art we will learn about foreground, middle ground, and background by painting a field of spring tulips in the Netherlands. We will also take some time to write about March Break and share our writing with the class.

Mathletics

As of last Friday, we were in second place, just behind Mr. Wood’s grade five class in the Mathletics March Madness Competition. Be on the lookout for an email updating the average points coming tomorrow after school. And if your student has not completed any math activities over the Break thus far… well, there is still one more evening to earn a few points!
