It seems impossible that we are entering the final week of school before Christmas Break…and yet, here we are!

Christmas Service Project:

Thank you to those who have sent in their $2 to help offset the cost of preparing our sweet treat bags which will be handed out at the soup kitchen at Christmastime.  It’s not too late to contribute!  We will be putting our bags together on Monday.

Christmas Musical Online:

We are incredibly proud of all the hard working students who committed to delivering their songs and lines during our Christmas Musical last week.  We are blessed to have this opportunity to share what Christmas is all about.  If you were unable to attend the performance live, or if you’d simply like to watch it again, the entire performance can viewed on our GCS YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vq01B-mWuMI

Christmas Theme Days:

Throughout the final week of classes students are invited to dress up in their finest Christmas attire to help close out this portion of the school year.

  • Monday: Ugly Christmas Sweater Day
  • Tuesday: Pajama Day
  • Wednesday: Red & Green Day
  • Thursday: Christmas Character Day
  • Friday: Christmas Hat Day

Christmas Break Tidy:

Please remind your children to take all their personal belongings home over the holidays.  This includes their snow-pants, mittens, hats, scarves, extra footwear, water bottles they may have taken in to their classroom.  Any of these items left behind will be donated or disposed of.

Library Books:

Students are being asked to return all their library books before Christmas Break.  If you are unsure if you have returned all your resources, please see Mrs. Biech early this coming week.

Half-Day Of School:

This Friday, December 21st, students will be dismissed from school at 12:15 to begin their Christmas Break.  Classes will resume on January 7th at 9:00 AM.

Holiday Wishes:

The Grade Three class would like to wish you all the Merriest Christmas and many blessings in the New Year!  May your family time be sweet, and may we all find some time to rest and recharge!
