We made it to the final school week of 2020!  We feel so very blessed here at GCS to have been able to have in-school learning all these weeks!  I pray that this blessing will continue throughout the New Year.

Make Room in Your Heart
In case you haven’t seen it yet, our Elementary’s first ever online Christmas production “Make Room in Your Heart” is now available on the GCS YouTube Channel!
Here are a few of the scenes from the production!

Pizza Lunch on Thursday
This Thursday, a pizza lunch will be provided for our class.  Many thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Doucet for this generous treat!  If your child is not a pizza-lover, please ensure that he or she has a lunch packed on that day.

Just for Fun – Christmas Theme Days

Well, Christmas is a-comin’! And here at GCS we like to get in the holiday spirit by being a little goofy!  During this last week of classes before Christmas, students from K-12 are encouraged to participate in a variety of fun dress-up days.

Monday: Festive Colours and Christmas Mask – Celebrate the season by choosing Christmas colours for your school dress code outfit today. Wear your red shirt, green sweater, white, silver or gold clothing and accessories to participate.  Complete the look with a Christmas-themed non-medical mask.

Tuesday: Christmas Luau and Christmas Hat Day – Want to celebrate Christmas in the tropics?  Wear a Hawaiian print shirt and top it with a Santa hat, reindeer antlers, an elf hat or a Christmas-themed toque as we count down to Christmas.

Wednesday: Christmas Sweater Day – Wear your ugly (or beautiful!) Christmas sweater. Choose one that is ready-made or use your imagination to create your own unique design.

Thursday: Christmas Pajama Day – Live the excitement of Christmas morning by wearing your pajamas to school.  Festive designs are great, but all pajamas are welcome.  Remember: modest, clean, neat and appropriate is always the expectation.

Friday: Half-Day Christmas Party! Reminder that students are to be picked up at 12:00 on this day.

Assessments This Week
NONE! We will resume regular Spelling and Math assessments in January, 2021!

From my family to yours, may you have a safe, healthy, and blessed Christmas!  See you all in January!
