It’s hard to believe we are beginning our last week of school before the Christmas break! I am so thankful we have been able to remain in school. Thank you to all of you who have been taking extra precautions to keep everyone well. From keeping your children home when they are sick, to focusing on hand hygiene habits; this is a team effort and your efforts are greatly appreciated! This week we will take time to review many of the concepts we have covered this quarter and will also be participating in some fun Christmas activities to. Students have their spelling test this week, but their will be no other tests or homework.
Friday will be our Christmas celebration day. Students are welcome to bring in some store bought snacks to share.
Monday: Festive Colors and Christmas Mask – Celebrate the season by choosing Christmas colours for your school dress code outfit today. Wear your red shirt, green sweater, white, silver or gold clothing and accessories to participate. Complete the look with a Christmas-themed non-medical mask.
Tuesday: Christmas Hat Day –(older students are also wearing Hawaiian shirts too, which students are welcome to do if they have them, but please don’t go out of your way to get one). Bring in your Santa hat, reindeer antlers, an elf hat or a Christmas-themed toque as we count down to Christmas.
Wednesday: Christmas Sweater Day – Wear your ugly (or beautiful!) Christmas sweater. Choose one that is ready-made or use your imagination to create your own unique design.
Thursday: Christmas Pajama Day – Live the excitement of Christmas morning by wearing your pajamas to school. Festive designs are great, but all pajamas are welcome. Remember: modest, clean, neat and appropriate is always the expectation.
Friday: Half-Day Christmas Party! Reminder that students are to be picked up at 12:00 on this day.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful, safe, and happy Christmas together.
Blessings,
Mrs. Bryenton
