Dear Parents,

Despite the shortened week, we really had a great week celebrating both Love of Reading Week and the Olympics. Thank you for your participation in helping your child find 3D shapes around them. This week we will be catching up on some phonics tests and introducing some new special sounds. We continue to practice retelling stories and identifying the parts of a sentence. We are also working on a collaborative art project that we hope to place in the school’s annual art show. Last week in French, students began learning names of some classroom materials and understanding plural and singular French.

Spelling Tests: . Please note that we will have our spelling test for list #13 on Tuesday. Students will also come home with list #14 on Tuesday and that test will be on the following Monday, Feb. 28. Sorry for this change in scheduling, but snow days and online learning have set us back in spelling and I want to try to ensure we do not get further behind.

Homework: Students will focus on nightly reading and preparation for their spelling tests this week Don’t forget to by signing those Super Reader bookmarks for every 5 minutes your child spends reading.
