Grade 5 parents, we have had another wonderful week back at school together. In math, we learned how to multiply two mixed numbers as well as the concept of probability. Students finished their non-fiction books in language class and took part in a book walk to see each other’s hard work. This week we will learn about converting measurements in math and will start a new unit on biographies in language.
Agenda
I have observed that students are much more likely to come prepared for the day whenever they are actively using and checking their agendas. Because of this, starting this week I am going to have each student write out their homework in the morning. Students will take home their agenda every evening and have it signed by a guardian. Please check with your child this evening if they have their agenda at home. Please send their agenda to school with them tomorrow if this is the case.
Test Folders
Students were given their test folders on Thursday. Please review each assessment, sign your name on the cover page, and send it back to school with them tomorrow.
