Grade 5 parents,
Thank you for all your help in making this past week another successful one. It has been wonderful to see each student’s continued dedication to completing quality work. Their continued display of diligence has been a testament to their grit during these unique circumstances. I encourage each student to continue to showcase their God-given skills as they complete their daily activities.
This week we will have a whole class zoom call on Wednesday at 10:00. Students will share the poem they have written from a writing activity that will be assigned Tuesday. This will also be a great time to see each other’s faces and talk as a class again. Parents will receive a zoom link to their email 10 minutes before the call begins.
Monday – MARVELous Monday: Dress-up as your favourite superhero
Wednesday – When I Grow Up Wednesday: Dress-up the way you would for the career you want when you grow up.
Friday – Farm Day Friday: Dress-up as a farmer or your favourite farm animal.
Daily emphasis will be placed on literacy, numeracy, and health & wellness. Most of the students’ daily assignments and classwork will be graded in all elementary Language, Phonics, Reading, and Math courses. Students who do not complete the graded assignments during the period of remote-learning will be expected to complete them once they return to school in order to acquire a grade in these courses for second quarter. Please ensure that daily work in Math and Language are completed in full.
