Good evening,
We have made it to the final week of school for this year! It has been a great year and I am very proud of all the students have accomplished this year. As we look to our final week please take note of the following:
Show and Tell:
Students in grade two will have a show and tell on Tuesday, June 15th. Students may take in a toy or an item of significance to present to the class. Students should be able to tell us at least three things about the item, as well as why they choose that particular item to show and tell.
Pizza Party:
On Wednesday, grade two will have a pizza party to celebrate the end of the year. Students will need to pack a morning snack, but lunch will be provided.
Year-End School Closing Event
The Grade 5 class has been working hard the past couple of weeks planning a year-end carnival for the elementary students at GCS. To help cover some of the costs involved with the event, we are asking each elementary student to bring in $2.00 before June 18th. This will go towards snacks, drinks, door prizes, and balloons. After gathering in the chapel for school closing remarks from Mrs. MacNeill, students will head outside to our back field for carnivals games and field games. Students can look forward to balloon games, ring toss, face painting, beanbag toss, various tag games, a candy jar count guessing game, and door prizes! If the weather is not suitable for outdoor activities, we have a modified plan to run indoors. The event will finish at 11:30am in time for parents to pick up their children at 11:45am. We are looking forward to an amazing day as we close out the 2020-2021 school year.
