It’s MARCH! How crazy is that?! I hope everyone has enjoyed their two weeks of Spring Break, whether you went away or stayed close to home. As we prepare to resume classes tomorrow, please take note of the following announcements/reminders.

ClassDojo Milestone #2!

The class achieved the 2000 points mark just before the break! Tomorrow the students will once again come up with potential reward suggestions and will cast their votes. Stay tuned…

Spelling

We will resume our Spelling practice with List 18 this week.

Times Tables Practice

Please continue to practice the times tables daily. This week we will be focusing on the 4 times table.

Secret in the Maple Tree

This week the students will be receiving the novel that is read in Grade 3. It is called Secret in the Maple Tree. Please take note of when there is assigned reading for homework (by checking in the agenda). Along with reading this novel, students will be learning how to write chapter summaries and a book report.

Cat/Dog Food, Toys, and Accessories

Two students in Grade 5 are collecting items for the Humane Society. If you feel like this is something you can contribute to, please send in any items up until March 14th.

Bible Verse

The students DO have a new Bible verse that was assigned before the break: Romans 12:9-12

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Letters

It was wonderful to receive all the students’ letters during the first week off. We mailed the letters on the last day of school before Spring Break. I have responded to each letter, and hopefully everyone has received theirs (if you haven’t visited your mailbox lately, it may be there waiting)!

This Week’s Assessments

Wednesday, March 8th – Math Quiz #9
Friday, March 10th – Spelling Quiz #18

Important Dates

March 6th – School resumes
March 24th – PD Day (NO SCHOOL)

I am looking forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow!
