Hello GCS Grade 6 Family!
A reminder that this week there is no school Friday and that Monday is Victoria Day. I hope the Grade 6 families enjoy this extended long weekend!
Here is this week’s schedule:
May 11-14
Monday:
Math – Lesson 127: Area of Complex Figures
LA – Non-fiction: Reading and Vocabulary
Science- Students will investigate the surface tension of water and conduct an experiment to determine which solution creates the best bubbles!
French- Students will read along with the activity video and learn the new dialogue. They will complete and post page 62.
Physical Education- Remember to be participating in at least 20 minutes of physical activity every day. You’ll be logging this at the end of the week. If you haven’t submitted last week’s activity log, go back and do that today.
Tuesday:
Math – Lesson 128: Angles
LA – Non-fiction: 5Ws and a Summary
Social Studies – PEI Tourism Industry
Wednesday:
Math – Quiz
LA – Non-fiction: Graphs and Infographs
Bible – Students will watch a short video called, God’s Story: Peter. Please find this assignment in the activity tab, along with instructions of how to respond.
French – Page 62 Practice reading your new dialogue many times. Once you have mastered it post a video of you reading the dialogue. Complete and post page 63.
Thursday:
Math – Lesson 129 Measuring Angles and Lesson 130 Constructing Angles
LA – Grammar: Adverb Phrases
Music – Stay tuned for Music Minute with Mrs. Wilting
Social Studies – None, extra math
Physical Education – Activity logs are due today. Check your Seesaw Activities.
