Grade 5 parents,

This past week, we wrapped up our persuasive article presentations as well as our novel study of Where the Red Fern Grows. In math, we finished our unit of dividing fractions and whole numbers. This week we will complete our final soundtrack project for Where the Red Fern Grows in language and we’ll learn about comparing numbers and finding a part of a whole in math.

GCS Arts Festival:

We are pleased to announce that we will be celebrating the Arts program in person this year at our GCS Arts Festival.  Please join us on Thursday, May 26 at 7pm.

The students in grade 7-9 will be performing on stage as individual classes and in a grand finale piece together as a large group. The Knights Jazz band will also be performing.

In addition to this performance, the GCS Student Art Walk will be displayed for viewing on May 26 and 27 from 2:45pm-3:30pm, and following the performance on May 26. We are excited to announce that our Art Walk will include a selection of student art that can be purchased to support our visual arts program. This is a great way to show support to our amazing artists at GCS from Kindergarten through Grade 12!
