Dear GCS Grade 6 Families,

The last quarter is going by quickly!  We’re almost in June and Grade 6 graduation is two and a half weeks away.

We are going to be starting Algebra in math next week!  Students will start with learning the order of operations.

Next week in Social Studies we will be starting our study of Island History.  Students will be researching events from when the Island was first inhabited to the present day.

GCS Arts Festival:

We are pleased to announce that we will be celebrating the Arts program in person this year at our GCS Arts Festival.  Please join us on Thursday, May 26 at 7pm.

The students in grade 7-9 will be performing on stage as individual classes and in a grand finale piece together as a large group. The Knights Jazz band will also be performing.

In addition to this performance, the GCS Student Art Walk will be displayed for viewing on May 26 and 27 from 2:45pm-3:30pm, and following the performance on May 26. We are excited to announce that our Art Walk will include a selection of student art that can be purchased to support our visual arts program. This is a great way to show support to our amazing artists at GCS from Kindergarten through Grade 12!
