Dear GCS Grade 6 Families,

Next week is May!  The year will be over before we know it!

In Social Studies this week, students starting writing their rebuttal speeches.  We plan on having our rebuttal speeches presented on Wednesday, May 5th.  Please check in with your child and invite them to share their arguments with you!

In Math this week, we took some time to review the area and perimeter of shapes.  Students were also introduced to protractors and used them to measure angles.

World Math Day

This week, students in elementary will test their mathematical speed and accuracy by participating in World Math Day – the world’s largest online math competition! Students are encouraged to brush up on their math skills in preparation for game day by visiting Mathletics and completing activities or challenging their classmates and other children around the world in Live Mathletics competitions.
