Happy Mother’s Day to all the Grade 3 moms! May your day be blessed and may you find some time to rest!

Please read on for information about what will be going on during the coming week.

Operation Pollination

The excitement continues! We have over 60 lupines growing bigger every day! We also now have a few delphiniums, shasta daisies, and echinacea plants beginning to grow.

We ARE still collecting empty pop cans/pop bottles/juice boxes; please note that milk containers are not refundables. We are perhaps half-way to our fundraising goal. We have approximately $20 in reserve right now, which has been earmarked for use towards the purchase of (hopefully) a flowering bush that we will be bale to plant here at school.

Spelling This Week

As last week was a short one, the Spelling Quiz for List 26 will be tomorrow (Monday, May 9th). The students are well aware of this and were strongly encouraged to bring their Spelling lists home for review. We will introduce List 27 tomorrow after the quiz.

Masks

As we begin a new week with eased restrictions regarding the wearing of masks in class, please take a moment to discuss this with your child. Whichever is decided for your child (to wear or not wear a mask), please rest assured that that choice will be supported. ALL students a still required to have access to a clean, non-surgical mask every day.

Upcoming Assessments

Wednesday, May 11th: Math Test 13
Friday, May 13th: Spelling Quiz 27

Important Dates

Monday, May 23rd – Victoria Day (NO SCHOOL)

That’s all for now!
