Dear Grade 1 Parents,
Happy Mother’s Day to all the great mothers out there. What a blessing to know that “He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.” Isaiah 40:11. I hope you have been able to get out and enjoy the sunshine this weekend. We have another great week ahead. This week we will be learning about Alberta, addition with regrouping, writing paragraphs, the 12 addition and subtraction family, identifying the subject and predicate of a sentence, new special sounds, and more.
Homework: Students will be sent home with a penmanship sentence writing page due on Friday. Students are encouraged to bring in some recyclable materials to make their experimental boats for science class. Students will also be preparing for their spelling test on Friday.
