Dear Parents,
This week we will be learning about the 8-addition family, place value concepts, cutting shapes into fractions, telling time to the hour, identifying root words and suffixes, many new phonics special sounds, and one of Canada’s national sports: hockey.
Homework: Students were sent home with a penmanship page, sight words page, and new spelling list on Friday. Please note that this week’s spelling list contains 15 words (instead of the usual 12) and is a challenging one. Students may need a little extra practice at home this week.
