We are looking forward to another full week of school. Please take note of the following items related to our grade two class.
Language Arts: Students will begin spelling list # 11. We have began learning to write cursive letters. Our penmanship this week will be a printing test. After Christmas we will begin testing on the cursive letters we have learned so far. We have already introduced C and A, this week we will be working on the letter N
Math: Students will learn two digit addition with carrying and 12 subtraction family.
Social Studies: Students will learning about the Cordillera Region of Canada. This week we will look at the industries within that region.
Christmas Outreach
This is the last week to send in items for school-wide outreach to the seniors at the Prince Edward. Grade two is asked to bring in stuffed animals, baby dolls, and teddy bears. This is a great opportunity to teach your child about giving by using some of their own money to purchase items for the seniors. If you have anything to give, please send it in with your child before Friday.
