Dear GCS Grade 6 Family,
We had a great week of learning in the classroom!
This week we began our study of the Canadian Government in Social Studies. We started by discussing different types of governments that can be found around the world.
We are a couple of weeks into our decimals unit in Math. I encourage parents to discuss the math content with their children and assist them if they have questions at home.
Christmas Gift Baskets
This year GCS students will be collecting various items to create gift baskets for the residents of Prince Edward Home. This has been a trying year for the vulnerable in our province, and it is our goal to bless the residents this Christmas season. Grade 6 will be collecting calendars and puzzles (300 pieces) to contribute to the gift baskets. I encourage all parents to talk to their child to see which one of these items they would be able to contribute. The items must be brought to school by December 1st.

Language Arts: BB Ch 3 → read and fill in double-entry journal for Monday
Social Studies: Who should decide? Worksheet due on Monday
French: Page 32 and study 31 for test on Tuesday
