Dear Grade 3 families,

Thank you for your patience as we all adjusted to the return to school after Fiona, some with power, some still without. I pray that as we enjoy this Thanksgiving weekend, all of us will see our electricity restored.

Bible Verse

Our class’  first Bible verse quiz was postponed for one week, due to the impact of being out of school. this Thursday, Oct. 6th. It is this year’s theme verse, and is very fitting after the past week:

Romans 15:13 (NIV)

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Spelling this Week

We will be studying List 4, and the quiz will be on Friday.

Community Outreach Project – Planting Seeds of Kindness

Our Grade 3 class will be collecting new toys/games for the Play Room in the Pediatric Unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. We will continue collecting all this week, so please send in anything that you would like to donate by Friday (the earlier, the better). Let’s bless our community!!

Lunches

When packing your child’s lunch bag, please remember to add whatever utensils he or she will need as well. Supplies are limited at school.

Agendas and Reading Logs

Students are writing their homework on the first school day of the week. Reading logs should be completed every day that there is homework (not over the weekend). Completing the reading log is considered as homework.

Knights Harvest

Grace Christian School has established deep roots in the Island’s educational landscape over the past 43 years, impacting the lives of many students, families, and our greater community. We have continued to flourish as a private Christian school, thanks in part to the generosity of our stakeholders.

Your gifts help us expand our current programs and develop new programs and services to support our growing student body.  Your gifts allow us to expand and improve our infrastructure, purchase modern curriculum and extracurricular resources, and most importantly, help stabilize our bursary fund to ensure that every student meeting our entrance requirements has access to an exceptional 21st century, Christ-centered education.

This thanksgiving season, we will celebrate the countless blessings God has showered on Grace Christian School with The Knight’s Harvest: A Celebration of Thankfulness. It is our prayer that GCS families, friends, and community supporters will demonstrate their thankfulness for Grace Christian School with a financial gift this Thanksgiving season. Together, we can empower future generations of Knights, so they can impact others for the glory of God!

How to Give

  1. Gifts may be given in the form of cash, cheque, or e-transfer.  Please make all cheques payable to Grace Christian School.
