Dear GCS Grade 6 Families,
We had a full 4-day week here in Grade 6! Students completed their first math quiz and are well underway in their other subjects.
Terry Fox Run
Students reflected on the life of Terry Fox and his contribution to cancer research in class this week. Despite the weather, students got out for a quick run in his memory!
As we approach Thanksgiving, GCS classes are working on projects to bless members of our community through giving or service. The Grade 6 class will be collecting items to provide a coffee break for healthcare workers at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. We will be collecting boxes of tea, instant coffee sachets, and boxes of Keurig cups to bring to a unit at QEH. We will be collecting the items next week (September 26th-29th) for delivery the following week. Thank you for helping us bless our community!
