Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer of learning, growing, and having fun. I am so excited to get things started. Our Grade Two year will be filled with new activities, classes, and teachers to learn through. For those of you who are new to GCS, I am Mrs. Chloe MacDougall formally known as Ms. Chloe Jenkins. I will be the lead teacher in our Grade Two Learning Studio. I have loved teaching and learning alongside our GCS students in Grade Two and I look forward to having wonderful new students with personalities that will make up the culture of our class.
Our theme verse for the year will be Colossians 3:1-2 (ESV) which reads, “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” We will be memorizing this verse first, in Bible class, with Mrs. McGonnell.
Tomorrow morning, students should arrive at school by 8:45 AM ready to enter our beautiful elementary wing. Classes will begin at 9:00 AM. Please come with your lunch and snack just as you would for any other school day.
Your child will be going home on Friday with our weekly schedule along with a letter from me. Please take note of specials throughout the week that require different morning preparations.
