Science and Technology Week – October 15-19
It’s that time of year again when staff and students of GCS celebrate our Creator and the wonder of science! We have lots of activities planned for next week, including a Let’s Talk Science Presentation, a robotics demonstration and a coding activity.
*Please note that Tuesday, October 16 is Dress like a STEAM Professional Day (STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). That means that your child can come to school dressed as a person in any occupation that would use these disciplines. It is sure to be a fun-filled week of learning!
International Potluck Supper
Save the date! This coming Wednesday, October 17, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, all Grace Christian School and Grace Baptist Church families are welcome to join us for our fall potluck supper. Families that attend should bring a dish to share that will feed 6 – 8 people. If your last name begins with A – L, we ask that you bring a dessert or salad to share. If your last name begins with M – Z, please bring a main dish to share. GCS will supply the drinks and fun! There will ice-breaker games and prizes for getting to know the most new friends.
Thursday: We will have our Fall Party at school. We are excited to experience “Favourite Fall Flavours” If there is a favourite fall flavour your child enjoys, feel free to send some in on Thursday to share at our party. We will be spending time with the Wee Knights playing games and singing songs.
Friday: School Picture Day *send your child dressed for our school pictures
