Hot Lunch- Cavendish Fry Truck:

This Wednesday, students will have the option to purchase freshly cooked Cavendish French fries for $2.00.

Annual Golf Challenge:

Grace Christian School is holding its 8th Annual Fundraising Golf Challenge on Saturday, June 1st, at the Clyde River Golf and Country Club, 384 Clyde River Road, Clyde River, PE.

The proceeds from our golf challenge will be used to support our BUY A BRICK campaign which will provide infrastructure to allow for greater growth in enrollment and provide for the future success of our students in the disciplines of academics, athletics, technology, the arts, music, and English language acquisition.

The cost to participate is as follows:  $100.00 per person OR $400.00 per team which includes green fees, cart rental, a sleeve of balls, complimentary snacks & drinks on the course, surf ‘n turf lunch, and a $40 charitable receipt per entrant. The student rate (18 years and under) is $75.00. Payment is due before Thursday, May 30th.  Cash or cheque can be made payable to Grace Christian School or via e-transfer to cthorne@gcspei.ca with the password: golf2019.

Arts Coffeehouse

Everyone is invited for a relaxing evening of art and music! We are very pleased to present GCS’s second annual Arts Coffeehouse on May 30. Artwork created by the students will be on display while various students perform musical pieces they have prepared for your enjoyment. More information to come this week.

Last Day of School for the Jk and Sk will be Tuesday, June 18th.  This will be a Half Day of School for all the children in our class. More information will follow.

Senior Kindergarten Graduation:

Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 18th from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm as we celebrate the achievements of our Senior Kindergarten students. All are welcome to attend.

Please take note the dress code for the grad ceremony: ladies in dresses, and gentlemen in a dress shirt and dress pants– no jeans, please.

Important Dates:

  • Friday, May 24th will be “show and tell” for the students. The topic is: bring in something that begins with the first letter of your name.
  • Tuesday, May 28th Meet the Teacher * Parents will not do anything different today.  Send your child to school as usual with a healthy snack and a prepared lunch.  We will take care of the rest.
  • Thursday, May 30– Arts Coffeehouse  Saturday, June 1 – GCS Golf Challenge
  • Tuesday, June 18th Noon time is pick up for all our Sk and Jk students. Last day of school for us.
