Good afternoon families of GCS Kindergarten students,

True to the season here on Prince Edward Island, we get to enjoy a mix of winter and spring all in the same day.  This change in weather brings many wonderful exploring opportunities around the school yard and community. I have enjoyed listening to your children talk about the things they are observing around them as we play and investigate outside the classroom.

*Thank you parents for having your children prepared for outside weather with rubber boots, winter boots etc. Because of your provision we have all been able to explore freely around our school despite the weather.

Where did last week go? Before I blinked, we were into Friday.  This week we will continue our science theme of Frogs and Toads, and complete our review of subjects explored during 3rd quarter.

Things to watch for:

Wednesday, April 13 – Elementary Parent-Teacher Conferences (5pm-7pm)

Thursday, April 14- No School (High school Parent Teacher Conferences)

Friday, April 15 – Good Friday (no school)

Monday, April 18 – Easter Monday (no school)

As always, I am thankful for this community of families who care for and about each other. Thank you for all you are doing to help keep our community safe. We pray for those who have had illness, families experiencing war, pain, as well as those exited about new birth, hope and love.

P.S.

As the year begins to get busy with end of year activities, please contact both myself and Mrs. Squires for any messages regarding your child’s absences, early appointments, after school care etc that will need attention during the school day.
