Hello Families,

Two weeks until our Christmas break!

Tomorrow we will be dressing in Christmas colours and enjoy Christmas stories with our Reading Buddies.

Elementary Christmas Production:

This year we will be presenting “Christmas at Bethlehem Gulch” a children’s musical with a western feel about the coming of the Saviour written by Pam Andrews.

We are anticipating a live, in-house, concert as we have done in years past. The musical has an “Old West” theme. Children will wear a pair of dark or light jeans and a multi-coloured plaid shirt. Junior and Senior Kindergarten are asked to wear these clothes to school for the day. No need to send them in early like the rest of the elementary students will be doing.

The afternoon matinee will begin at 1:30 on December 8th. Kindergarten students will not be preforming at the evening show.

Christmas Outreach Project

Thank you for the socks and slippers for the men and women at the Prince Edward Home. If you are still thinking of adding to their gifts they will be delivered at the end of next week.

If you can contribute, items should be delivered to our classroom before December 8th.

Things to watch for include:

Thursday, Dec. 8 – Elementary Christmas Concert (1:30pm)
• Monday, Dec. 12 – Friday, Dec. 16 – Christmas Theme Days (TBA)
• Wednesday, Dec. 14 – Christmas Chapel/Hot Chocolate/Cookies
• Friday, Dec. 16 – Christmas Parties (Half Day of School)
• Monday, Dec. 19 – Monday, Jan. 2 – Christmas Break
• Tuesday, Jan. 3 – First Day of Classes 2022

*I am looking forward to the next two weeks as we learn about the birth of Jesus and why we celebrate him.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Laura Perry
