With students heading back to class tomorrow, Mrs. Squires and I are excited to see everyone’s smiling faces again. We are eager to regroup and ready to make the first portion of 2019 one that is filled with exciting learning opportunities. Please take note of the following reminders and announcements:
Back To School
Classes at GCS will resume on Monday, January 7th at 9:00 AM, however, we recommend that students arrive at 8:45 to get settled into their classrooms.
Winter Weather Reminder:
As we experience more winter-like temperatures and weather conditions, please remind your children to come prepared for the outdoors. Students are encouraged to carry a warm hat and mittens in their backpacks every day and to come dressed in a warm jacket. Snow pants and winter boots will also help your children stay warm and dry as we enjoy the winter weather and fun in the snow.
For students who arrive prior to 8:45 AM, please note that students will not be permitted to go inside the school to gather their winter gear. Please have them arrive dressed for the winter conditions.
Extra Clothes:
We have a change of clothes for your child in our classroom for any accidents that occur. It is now time to change them out for winter ones. Please send in extra socks, underwear, bottoms and long sleeve tops for their bins.
Things to watch for this week include:
Monday: New seating arrangement, Gym, Art, Community Inquiry
*We will have Mrs. OHalloran joining us for 3 days each week. Mrs. OHalloran is a GCS Alumni and is currently working at Wee Knights Day Care
Wednesday: Chapel, Music,
Friday: Music, Library, Show and Tell: please send in a picture (or drawing) of something special your child experienced, received, or gave over the Christmas Holidays.
