A sincere thank-you to each parent who took the time to meet with me to discuss your child’s progress throughout the first quarter. Should you have any questions throughout this next quarter please do not hesitate to email me.

Library is Thursday
Each Thursday is library day. Please check to see your child’s library book is returned each Thursday so they can take a different book out for the following week.
Lunch and Snacks
These children are growing! If you notice that your child has eaten all their food, would you please send in an extra snack or two for hungry bellies? Thank you.
As we experience more winter-like temperatures and weather conditions, please remind your children to come prepared for outdoors. Students are encouraged to carry a warm hat and mittens in their backpacks every day and to come dressed in a warm jacket. Snow pants and winter boots will also help your children stay warm and dry as we enjoy the winter weather and fun in the snow.
For students who arrive prior to 8:45 AM, please note that students will not be permitted to go inside the school to gather their winter gear. Please arrive dressed for the winter conditions.
Operation Christmas Child
The GCS students are hearing stories about how God is using the simple gift of a shoe box to impact other kids around the world. We are looking forward to blessing thousands of children around the world with shoe boxes and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
There are 3 ways you can contribute:
- Your child has received a shoe box to fill with gifts for a less fortunate child. Need ideas for your kids to pack? Here is the link of the top 100 things to put in a shoebox, and a list of items that are permitted. All items must be new. Please make sure that we add $10 to each box to help with the cost of shipping, if you can. https: //www.samaritanspurse.ca/suggested-gifts/
- Instead of filling a box yourself, we will be filling a shoebox as a class if you would like to contribute that way.
- Send in cash for postage (each box costs $10 to ship)
