Classic Christmas Concert (Grade K-2)

Please join us on Thursday, December 5th from 2:30 – 3:00 for the presentation of a Classic Christmas Concert.  Students in Kindergarten through Grade Two have been preparing for the Christmas season by memorizing Bible verses, singing classic Christmas carols, and playing instruments. We are going with a red, black and silver theme this year for clothing.

Some kindergarten students will be in costumes (provided by us) therefor they will not need concert dress. If your child is a drummer, they will need black slacks as they will be sitting on the stage floor. Girl drummers can wear knee length skirts with dark leggings underneath if it is difficult to find black slacks.

What made this extra special is every child chose what part they wanted to play!  So here we go!…

Olivia Grace will be adorning a camel costume. She will need leggings and long-sleeved beige top.

David will adorn a donkey hat. Solid black clothes will be needed to complete his outfit.

Kelton will adorn a horse costume and require light weight clothing underneath as to not get too hot.

Ben and Sarah will adorn the sheep hats.  They can wear solid black or white top and bottom to complete their outfits.

Norah and Esmeralda will adorn cow costumes. They will require light weight clothing underneath as to not get overheated.

Alyana, Naomi, Callie and Aspen will adorn angle costumes. They will need white leggings or tights and a white long-sleeved top to wear under the angle gown.  The girls will also need wings from the Dollar store. If you are not able to pick those up, please let me know. Some of you may also have some at home already.

Sarah will be adorned as Mary. She will need a long plain skirt, lightweight solid clothing for under her costume and a baby Jesus wrapped in a blanket.

Harrison and Gia will be our singers. They will need their best outfits in concert colors of red, black and or silver.

Everyone else is a drummer.

**If anyone is having difficulty finding clothes for the concert please let me know and I will send a request out for what is needed and I’m sure we can borrow the items needed.

Community Outreach Projects

Throughout the month of December, every GCS student will participate in special community outreach projects that will allow them to move their focus from themselves to the needs of others. This year our class will connect with a lovely group of seniors from Grace Baptist Church and pair up to form prayer buddies and share a snack provided by our class.

Looking forward to a great week of fun together.

See you tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Perry
