Thank you, families, for your generous words and gifts over the Christmas Holidays.  Mrs. Squires and I were very touched by your kindness.

The children have come back to school ready and excited to learn.  They did very well with our review practices. This week we will be building on what we have been learning before Christmas.  We have been using “letter blend’s” and “word families” to make words as well as counting numbers, paying close attention to what number is in the “front”.

Thank you, families, for sending in extra socks and warm mitts for your children.  This week sounds like it will be very cold with the wind chill.

The children voted on the next animal they wished to investigate, and it was the Snowy Owl.

This week they will vote again for another cold weather animal.

Within the next two weeks, Mr. Jason MacEachern from the Fisheries and Wildlife will bring in his animals for us to see.  We are very excited about this.
