Thank you to all those who were able to make it out on Thursday night for Parent Teacher Conferences. If you were scheduled for Friday, please take note of the following announcement regarding rescheduling:
Parent Teacher Conference- Rescheduled
Due to the cancellation of Friday’s Parent Teacher Conferences, we will be providing parents with an opportunity to meet with teachers on Monday, February 11 from 3:15-5: 00 pm. Conferences will not be signed up for, but will rather be on a “first come, first served” basis, with a 10-minute time limit.
Love of Reading Week
Throughout this coming week, we encourage your child to invest a little extra time each day discovering the joy of learning through reading! Look at a few of the fun ways we will celebrate Love of Reading Week:
Monday: Bring your favourite book to class.
Tuesday: Character Dress Up Day – Dress up like a character from any of your favourite stories.
Wednesday: Make a bookmark with Mrs. Biech our librarian
Thursday: Show Me Your “Shelfie” (send in a picture of your bookshelf in your room or home and we will try and guess who’s family the book shelf belongs to)
Valentines Day: We welcome Valentines Day cards and treats.
For cards, please send in cards for the 25 students signed by your child only. Designating who they are “to” makes it very complicated with 25 students. Please leave that space blank, and your child will be able to pass them out to the class.
For treats to eat, please be sure they are purchased food items as the PEI Health Board requires this for our Junior students to participate. Thank you for your co-operation in this area.
Friday: Bedtime Story Day -Wear your pyjamas and bring a favourite bedtime story. (remember undergarments and brush your teeth please)
